Dear Edublogs,

It is with a heavy heart that today I am breaking up with you. And trust me when I say, “It’s not you, it’s me”.

It’s not that our time together hasn’t been fun. It has been a a blast. It has been with you dear Edublogs that I finally discivered the true love of blogging and finally got off my procrastinating arse and committed. You have so kindly shared me with your friends and I have found many mentors and brilliant educators in them. But I need to grow, to move onto bigger and better things.

The truth is I finally met your mother, Wordpress. I have discovered that she is truly brilliant and capable of so much more. Not that you are not great, but she offers me so much more and will let me shape her in ways that suit me more.

I do hope we can still be friends. I intend to drop in often and say hello, and hope you will do the same.

Moodle Portfolio Options

My recommendation is to use something external to moodle (like Mahara). Especially with the upcoming release of the Portfolio API in moodle 2.0, this will allow for better integration with external Portfolio's

Sydney Moodle User Group Tonight!

Tonight is the second meeting of the Sydney Moodle Users Group. This group is a must for any administrators, teachers or educational facilitators who use Moodle or who are maybe evaluating Moodle as possible LMS.

The User group consists of passionate Sydney based Moodle users who are keen on sharing their experiences and knowledge with others. So if you would consider yourself an enthusiast then this is the group for you.

Tonights meeting starts at 6pm and is being held at Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview (address details are listed below). The event will be held in a lab to allow attendees to be able to show some of what they are doing with Moodle and how they are fitting it into the mis in their classrooms, boardrooms or wherever else they happen to be.

The only requirement we ask of attendees is to bring $5 pizza money (I feel like a Uni student again) and a want to share, play and learn with your fellow Moodlers.

How to get to the Meeting

Riverview is located on Riverview Street, Lane Cove
