		<description>I will also say that you can use a standard moodle instance for portfolios also.  We maintain a separate moodle portfolio instance for pre-service teacher portfolios.  These portfolios are more on the order of &quot;showcase&quot; portfolios, not &quot;growth and development&quot; portfolios, but they have worked for us.  Each student is the &quot;instructor&quot; of his or her portfolio &quot;course&quot; and therefore controls guest keys, ability to add resources, etc.  It works out pretty well.
